Next up for Project : Obitsu is Erena-Mission 2, an Obitsu/Azone Hybrid released about a decade ago. I don't know much about her backstory except that this is the second Erena and she appears to be some kind of original action/adventure/spy character. At least, I'm not aware of any other media featuring this lady. although I might've missed it. Anyway, I've always thought she was a cool little doll and when I had the chance to acquire her last year, I jumped at it. I posted a quick "in the box" photo review HERE so you can check out other photos and info there.
I promise that I didn't make her do this photo shoot in the cold! The combined effects of stretchy top material and the permanent "headlights on" molding of the Obitsu hard shell body conspire to make it seem like a cold day, though. A couple things I should've done with this photo shoot include showcasing the giant, heavy die-cast pistol she's armed with and dressing her in the hilarious cleaning lady disguise that comes with this set. (Complete with toilet plunger!) Maybe I can revisit her at some point in the future for more shots.
Oh my! Doesn't she look the sexy one . . . Reminds me of the day I got married, my bridesmaid wore a jersey dress and it was the coldest December day on record. Remember we are in the southern hemisphere, so it should have been warm at the very least. :)
ReplyDeleteThe other outfit conjures up a funny sight, so I would love a revisit sometime.
Hugs,
X
She probably didn't expect it to be so cold in late spring/early summer. LOL Today is Mardi Gras and it's really cold down here in the US Gulf Coast. Makes me wonder if "flashing for beads" will less frequent this year. Certainly, anyone willing to brave it is going to face a similar situation to Erena! ;)
DeleteI really wanted to do some shots with the cleaning lady disguise but the rug rats were getting restless, so I had to cut things short. I need to work on a better system for photography since I can't accommodate outfit changes or put much dynamic posing into my shots right now. It makes things less interesting than I would like but I hope to improve while working within my limitations.
Hahaha, you promise you didn't make her stand out in the cold on purpose... but I don't beliiiiieve you XD (Just teasing!)
ReplyDeleteShe looks very Laura Croft-esque to me. Maybe she was their answer to Laura Croft at the time?
She's super cute!
Maybe spending the day with the guy in my previous post made her "perk up"! ;)
DeleteI hadn't considered Lara Croft as an inspiration but that makes sense. She definitely has that 90s video game/comic book "action girl" vibe and Lara served as a major prototype for that.
She's cool! I'm looking forward to see your other obitsus and azones.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lisa! I've had to postpone my photography day for March's entries several times recently. Hopefully, I'll get that resolved shortly and have some more entries to post very soon!
